We present the official music video for SUETA — “Novyi Korol”, a powerful visual story about breaking free from abusive relationships and reclaiming inner strength.
The video is built around a strong directorial metaphor. It opens in an empty wasteland, where the heroine sits alone in a chair, staring at a burning television filled with fragments of past memories. The deserted location symbolizes total emotional and spiritual emptiness — toxic relationships have taken everything from her: home, stability, and self-worth.
Through a series of flashbacks, the viewer witnesses moments of conflict, emotional pressure, and psychological confinement. A physically constructed metal cage appears in the frame, reinforcing the feeling of being trapped — a visual representation of emotional imprisonment.
Scenes featuring furniture wrapped in plastic symbolize the loss of material value: when a person exists in a destructive relationship, physical possessions become meaningless. The motorcycle location represents the man’s environment — unstable, empty, and destructive — pulling the heroine downward with him.
The final scene mirrors the opening shot but carries a completely new meaning. The heroine rises decisively from the chair and walks forward. Behind her remains the burning television filled with memories of the past, while ahead lies a new life — and a new king, symbolizing choice, strength, and self-respect.
Importantly, this project became part of Welligan’s experimental production approach, where a newly assembled team was created specifically to produce visually strong yet budget-accessible music videos for emerging artists.
This case proves that cinematic quality and emotional depth can be achieved even within limited production resources.
“Novyi Korol” stands as a testament to how directing, symbolism, and visual language can elevate a music video to the level of short-form cinema.
